Bill... you're right. I often have to remind myself to take a deep breath and go with with flow. Who knows where the flow is going?... but if often leads to an opportunity for self-reflection and possibly a connection to another human being.
Hugs.

SO very well written and true. There is a concept of line standing. I remind myself constantly that others have different baggage and I really have to treat people how I want to be treated. NOT easy.

I was born and raised Methodist. Despite the religious upbringing, I had doubts whether or not JC was more than a prophet. I decided not to attend church, not out of rebellion but due to confusion as a result of an inadequate understanding of the Bible and reliance on a self-schemed rationalization. The next week when asked by the athiest-turned gma as a result of dimentia and mental illness, who I visited weekly at a Catholic hospital nearby in Westminster, why I was not at church, I was surprised that she knew the day of the week. In explaining the recent confusion, she bursted outloud with a laughter pointing over the shoulder behind. A helium filled balloon which she had a nurse ribbon taped to the wall to balloon-cover the crucifix drifted to the left revealing the cross before the eyes. The balloon swayed to the left for a dozen seconds as I stood there stunned. I looked back at gma to witness the expression and observed a face of fright. Upon returning the eyes to the extraordinary sight, the balloon returned to position disappearing the wall mounted crucifix, never to move again for the remaining time that I stayed. From then on, I am reminded that JC blessed me with a message that resolves all confusion and doubt regarding who He is.

At 7 or 8 years old, I recall swimming at my grandparents home in La Mesa, CA and somehow getting stuck underneath my dad who was laying on an air mattress type of floating thing. It was bigger than I was.... I was trying to move around it, but not having success. I recall smacking the underside of the floating air mattress on it, trying to get his attention. As God's grace would have it, my smacking moved it and I surfaced to sputter/cough and cry. It took quite some time to calm my breathing down. I am not a fan of swimming, but can if I have to do so, but oh my.

After reading this, I think of being scatterbrained... (not a bad thing!) and I'm that way so I find myself writing things down... then I find piles of lists all over my cluttered desk. I can't win. I do my best and hope some of the lists get check marks for those things being done.
